Chaired by Nguyen Hong Dien, Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Industry and Trade, the programme affirmed the key role of import and export in the field of socio-economic development, especially in the context of the country’s continued efforts to recover and grow sustainably.
According to the report of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in 2025, the import and export situation has continued to improve, despite facing many difficulties. In the first 6 months of 2025, the total import-export revenue reached 432.1 billion USD, an increase of 16.1% over the same period last year; of which, exports reached 219.9 billion USD, an increase of 14.5%, imports reached 212.2 billion USD, an increase of 17.9%.
Within the framework of the event, the Ministry of Industry and Trade honoured 45 typical export enterprises. These are collectives that not only maintained revenue in difficult contexts, but also pioneered in green transformation, complied with international standards and demonstrated a spirit of proactive integration.
In particular, the signing ceremony of the communication programme between the Import-Export Department and the press agencies of the industry and trade sector marked a new step forward in the communication work on the origin of goods. This is considered a vital factor to help businesses take advantage of tariff incentives, while preventing fraud and illegal transshipment.
