Party General Secretary To Lam, who is also Secretary of the Central Military Commission, attended an art programme in Ha Noi, on July 3, marking the 10-year review of the army’s implementation of the 12th-tenure Politburo’s Directive No. 05 on promoting the study and following of President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality, and lifestyle.

Also in attendance were Politburo members Nguyen Hoa Binh, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Permanent Deputy Prime Minister; Nguyen Trong Nghia, Secretary of the Party Central Committee (PCC) and Head of the PCC’s Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilisation; General Phan Van Giang, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission and Minister of National Defence; General Luong Tam Quang, Minister of Public Security; Nguyen Xuan Thang, President of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council; Nguyen Van Nen, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Secretaries of the Party Central Committee: Le Hoai Trung, Chief of the Party Central Office; Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet, member of the Standing Committee of the Central Military Commission and Director of the General Department of Political Affairs of the Viet Nam People’s Army; and Nguyen Thi Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee and Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly; along with members of the Party Central Committee, members of the Standing Committee of the Central Military Commission, members of the Central Military Commission, leaders of central ministries and agencies, leaders and commanders of agencies and units under the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defence, and representatives of collectives and individuals recognised as outstanding examples in the study and practice of Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality, and style.

The programme aimed to share experiences and showcase the deeds of collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements, highlighting exemplary role models while inspiring and motivating cadres, Party members, and the public in the armed forces to intensify their efforts to study and practice Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality, and style.

The art performances were presented by artists, performers, the symphony orchestra of the Military Music and Dance Theatre, the Military University of Culture and Arts, the Military Cheo Theatre, and art troupes from Military Regions 1, 2, and 9.

A highlight of the programme was the dialogue between Colonel Dr. Le Van Thanh, Head of the Department of Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic Surgery at Central Military Hospital 108, and patients who had been saved by the doctor.
