On the morning of May 17, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Head of the Government's Steering Committee on Science, Technology, Innovation, Digital Transformation and Project 06, chaired the Steering Committee’s second meeting.

The meeting was co-chaired by Deputy Heads of the Steering Committee: Politburo member, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh; Party Central Committee member, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc; Party Central Committee member, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung; General Phan Van Giang, Politburo member, Minister of National Defence; leaders of ministries, branches, central agencies and a number of major universities, corporations and enterprises.

In his remarks, the Prime Minister urged delegates to clearly identify areas where progress has been slow, analyse causes, and draw lessons learned, define key tasks and solutions in the coming time, particularly in resource allocation, mobilisation of public-private partnerships, and encouraging active participation of enterprises and people.
