Lao Cai: Music night celebrates National Day

The Lao Cai Provincial Association of Literature and Arts hosted a music night on August 29 under the theme ‘Lao Cai – The Harmony of Rivers and Mountains.’

The event aimed to celebrate National Day (September 2), Vietnam Music Day (September 3), and the 66th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s visit to Lao Cai (September 23, 1959-2024).

The music night delighted the audience with songs and dances praising President Ho Chi Minh, the beautiful natural landscape of Lao Cai, its friendly people, and the province’s development achievements.

Prominent among them were the songs entitled ‘Lao Cai – My Motherland’ by musician Phung Chien, ‘Lao Cai: Where Mountains and Rivers in Harmony’ by musician Vu Dinh Trong, ‘Worshipping Saint Tran’ by Pham Duc Loi, ‘Sapa’ by Phu Ngoc Lan, and ‘Cultivating knowledge in the mountainous region’ by Ha Van Muoi.

The performances were delivered by artists, singers, and dancers from the provincial culture centre, the provincial art troupes, the provincial arts college, and the Military University of Culture and Arts.
