The four-day event features the participation of 12 artisans from seven craft villages across the country, including silk making in Lam Dong Province, and brocade weaving in the provinces of Thua Thien – Hue, Dak Lak, and Kon Tum.
At the event, the artisans demonstrate their skills and provide brief introduction to visitors on their traditional crafts.
Visitors can also explore traditional instruments of Gie Trieng ethnic groups in the Central Highlands region.
A fashion show featuring Ao Dai designs and silk products by designers Minh Hanh, Silky Vietnam, and Viet Bao will be held on the evening of January 4, gathering 50 models and popular singers.
According to Dr Le Xuan Kieu, Director of the Centre of Science and Culture Activities of the Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam (Temple of Literature), the programme not only introduces the essence of Vietnamese localities but also promotes the role of the temple as a culture venue connecting traditional and contemporary heritages.
