The campaign to compose, stage and promote literary and artistic works to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - 2025) with the theme "Ho Chi Minh City - 50 years of proud heroic epic" launched by the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee since July 2023 has attracted the participation of many artists, authors and groups of authors from all over the country.
The campaign has aroused the creative potential not only of artists but also of art lovers, non-professional authors and the general public. At the same time, the campaign has strengthened solidarity and exchange among those working in the arts, contributing to creating a spirit of creativity and spreading cultural values widely.
After more than a year of launching, the organising committee has received 630 works from 434 authors and groups of authors from all over the. The preliminary, final 1 and final 2 councils have worked impartially, respecting the labour, creativity and dedication of artists, authors and groups of authors to select outstanding works to propose to the organising committee for consideration and awarding prizes.
As a result, the organising committee awarded 83 prizes in 8 fields: Literature, theater, cinema, music, fine arts, architecture, photography, dance; with 11 first prizes, 12 second prizes, 26 third prizes and 34 consolation prizes.
