Out of 234 nominations, 17 groups and 23 individuals were selected as exemplary role models for their selfless dedication to the community. Despite diverse backgrounds and circumstances, they share a common spirit of silent commitment to improving society and contributing to the city’s growth. Each story reflects deep compassion, humanity, and solidarity.
In his speech, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Phan Van Mai expressed heartfelt gratitude for their contributions, emphasising the importance of collective efforts to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the National Reunification in 2025.
He urged everyone to focus on meaningful actions, such as addressing environmental issues, eliminating traffic black spots, and improving the lives of those in need to make the city more beautiful and livable.
The ceremony also highlighted the city’s commitment to fostering kindness and collaboration, with local agencies encouraged to support humanitarian efforts and spread goodwill.
