NA Standing Vice Chairman Do Van Chien meets voters in Bac Ninh

The Bac Ninh Province Fatherland Front Committee organised a voter meeting with candidates standing for election to the 16th National Assembly (NA) at Electoral Unit No. 3 on March 9.

The meeting was conducted in both in-person and online formats, connecting 18 communes and wards.

Electoral Unit No. 3 has five NA candidates: Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Standing Vice Secretary of the NA’s Party Committee, and NA Standing Vice Chairman; Vu Van Cuong, Deputy Director of the Bac Ninh Provincial Department of Finance; Pham Van Thinh, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, and Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Bac Ninh Province; Nguyen Thi Hong Van, official at the People’s Committee of Bac Giang Ward; and Luong Thi Yen, official at Tam Hiep Kindergarten, Yen The Commune.

At the conference, voters were introduced to the candidates’ biographies and career histories, as well as their proposed action programmes should they be elected as National Assembly deputies.

The candidates’ programmes addressed practical issues of concern to voters, including education, healthcare, environmental protection, industrial production, urban development, social housing, digital transformation, and social welfare.

Voters expressed strong appreciation for the candidates’ programmes, noting that they were carefully prepared and demonstrated both responsibility and a genuine aspiration to contribute to national and local development.

On behalf of the NA candidates in Electoral Unit No. 3, Do Van Chien affirmed that, if entrusted by voters to serve as deputies of the 16th National Assembly, the candidates would faithfully fulfil their roles and responsibilities as representatives of the people. He emphasised that they would actively participate in building and refining the legal system, effectively perform oversight functions, monitor law enforcement, promptly propose amendments to inadequate regulations, and mobilise resources for development, while maintaining regular contact with voters.
