The two-day event has brought together nearly 220 athletes from seven teams across the country, including An Giang, Binh Thuan, Da Nang, Hai Duong, Kien Giang, Quang Binh and hosts, Quang Tri.
Both male and female rowers are competing for medals in the 200 metre, 500 metre and 1000 metre races.
At last year’s tournament, Binh Thuan came out on top with six gold and two silver medals, followed by Quang Tri and Can Tho in second and third place, respectively.
