The participants included officials from the Hai Phong Party Committee and the Hai Phong People’s Committee, as well as municipal departments and local authorities.
According to Kien An Vice Chairman Nguyen Phong Danh, the event, known as the Kien An Charity Fun Run, aimed to encourage the sporting movement and raise money for the local fund for the poor.
Held for the second time, the run also intended to mark the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Kien An District.
With the course having passed through many streets and along Thien Van Hill, the run was also an opportunity to promote land and people of Kien An.
Concluding the competition, the organisers presented first, second and third prizes to the winners of the 3,000 metre and 10,000 metre categories.
