On February 17, the People’s Committee of Son La City organised the Olympic Running Day for the health of the entire population in Chieng Den Commune, Son La City, Son La Province.

More than 3,000 people, including province, department, branch and locality leaders, officials, civil servants, public employees, armed forces, students, youth union members and sports athletes, joined the event.

After the launch ceremony, participants ran 5,000m on curved roads, uphill and downhill, through the villages of Chieng Den Commune.

The organising board presented the first prize in the men's category to athlete Quang Van Them from Son La Provincial Police.

In the women's category, the first prize went to athlete Leo Thi Tinh from Chieng Co Commune. Four second prizes and six third prizes were also presented.
