Ninh Thuan inaugurates Environment Sub-project

On November 2, the People's Committee of Ninh Thuan Province held the inauguration ceremony of the Coastal Cities Sustainable Environment Project - Phan Rang-Thap Cham City Sub-project with a total investment of 97.9 million USD, of which the ODA capital of the World Bank is 69.5 million USD, and the rest is the local counterpart capital.

The project has been implemented since the end of 2017, with a scale focusing on investment in construction, renovation, upgrading of canals, urban traffic, wastewater collection and treatment systems, household and public sanitation, and domestic wastewater connection, spanning 16 communes and wards of Phan Rang-Thap Cham City.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee Tran Quoc Nam said that the Sub-project not only fundamentally solves the problems of drainage, wastewater treatment, and the environment of the city to become an ecological, sustainable, smart, green-clean-beautiful urban area, but also contributes to the successful implementation of the socio-economic development goals associated with environmental protection, responding to climate change in the spirit of the Resolution of the 14th Provincial Party Congress.

On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to three groups, one household and 14 individuals who have contributed to the project's success.
