The campaign was held in response to a nationwide movement to provide disadvantaged households with better housing conditions.

Ninh Thuan aims to build new houses and repair derelict houses for poor and near-poor households as well as those in extremely difficult circumstances by the end of June 2025.

Speaking at the ceremony on March 29, Ninh Thuan Chairman Tran Quoc Nam said that the campaign demonstrates the responsibility of the whole society to help the disadvantaged have safe shelter.

The province took the occasion to call on sectors, organisations, businesses, and philanthropists to join hands with the province to achieve the set goal.

For his part, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung spoke highly of Ninh Thuan’s efforts in promoting socio-economic development and ensuring social security, especially in the removal of temporary and dilapidated houses.

He noted that the province needs to mobilise the efforts of the whole political system, communities, and people from all walks of life so that no one is left behind.

On the occasion, Dung donated 500 million VND to the province’s substandard housing elimination programme.
