The nominees were shortlisted within a secret vote by the organisers. They stood out from the 138 submissions who have showed outstanding achievements last year within the ten fields of academic study, scientific research and creativity, production, business and start-ups, administrative management, national defence, security and social order, sports, culture and arts, and social activities.

Among the nominees, the youngest is 13 years old, and there are 13 nominees from ethnic minority groups, according to the organisers.

The list of the top 20 is being introduced at website www.tainangtrevietnam.vn for public voting until February 28.

The voting results will serve as a reference for the organisers to name the top 10, who will be honoured at a ceremony scheduled for late March in Hanoi. This year’s winners will each receive a cash prize of 50 million VND.

The annual Vietnam Outstanding Young Faces Award is presented to 10 youngsters under 35 with excellent performances in their areas of specialty over the years.
