The aforementioned information was announced by the organising committee during a press briefing on August 5.
Deputy Director of the Da Nang municipal Department of Culture and Sports, Nguyen Trong Thao, said that among the participants, there are 2,404 foreigners from 67 countries and territories around the world, including Japan, the Republic of Korea, China, Thailand, Egypt, Belgium and Hungary, among others.
Accordingly, the event consists of five categories: full marathon 42km, half marathon 21km, 10km, 5km, and Ronny Dash 1km (open for kids and families).
The DNIM 2019 features magnificent running courses, with athletes starting from the Bien Dong (East Sea) Park in the early morning, running along the coast and crossing Da Nang’s famous bridges.

According to the organising committee, in addition to spreading the message “Because I love Da Nang”, the marathon will be accompanied by environmental protection actions. Specifically, over 1,000 volunteers will help clear beaches in Da Nang and all the plastic waste discovered on the track.
Participants will also find interesting stories written about Da Nang and impressions of athletes of previous versions of the marathon showcased in the area of the event.
The Da Nang International Marathon is considered one of the biggest marathon events of the year and is a desirable sports and tourism destination of the jogging community both at home and abroad. The contest promises to make Da Nang a highlight on the international marathon map.
