On this occasion, the embassy launched the Viet Nam Cultural Space to introduce Vietnamese cultural values and products, as well as cultural exchange activities, to local friends and partners. A highlight is the Vietnamese language teaching programme at Universiti Brunei Darussalam.

Notably, the Viet Nam Cultural Space also showcases documents and images of President Ho Chi Minh, along with publications by international friends and partners on the life and career of the beloved leader of the Vietnamese nation.

On the evening of February 12, the Homeland Spring 2026 art exchange programme under the theme “Celebrating the Party – Celebrating the Spring of Binh Ngo – Celebrating 50 Years of Viet Nam–Thailand Diplomatic Relations” took place at the VT Namnueang Centre in Udon Thani province, more than 500km northeast of Bangkok. Delivering the opening speech and extending Lunar New Year greetings to the community, Consul General of Viet Nam in Khon Kaen Dinh Hoang Linh stressed that throughout the nation’s glorious history and in the current era of strong national development, Viet Nam treasures its friends and close partners. Homeland Spring 2026 carries important diplomatic significance, demonstrating special regard for the Viet Nam–Thailand friendship and cooperation.

On behalf of the Udon Thani provincial administration, Governor Ratchan Sunhua said the organisation of the programme was of great significance, not only culturally but also in strengthening friendship between the peoples of the two countries, reflecting the enduring friendship, long-term cooperation and close relationship between the Kingdom of Thailand and the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam.

On the evening of February 10 (local time), the Embassy of Viet Nam and the Union of Vietnamese Associations in the Federal Republic of Germany, together with Vietnamese associations, jointly organised a Community Tet celebration to welcome the Lunar New Year.

In his opening address, Ambassador of Viet Nam to the Federal Republic of Germany Nguyen Dac Thanh noted that Viet Nam–Germany relations continue to develop comprehensively across economic and trade cooperation, finance, environment, energy, labour, science and technology, and defence and security. The two countries have organised numerous activities marking the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties.

Ambassador Nguyen Dac Thanh affirmed that the community of more than 200,000 Vietnamese in Germany serves as an important bridge, helping promote bilateral cooperation and deeper integration.

Vice President of the German Parliament Bodo Ramelow stated that more than 200,000 Vietnamese living and working in Germany are “peace ambassadors” contributing to cooperation between the two nations. He reaffirmed his continued support for advancing the strategic partnership through practical actions, particularly his planned visit to Viet Nam in June 2026.

In a vibrant spring setting adorned with peach blossoms and apricot flowers, featuring a calligraphy corner, a traditional banh chung (sticky rice cake) wrapping area and festive flower stalls, overseas Vietnamese and international guests enjoyed cultural exchanges and traditional cuisine prepared by Vietnamese restaurants in Berlin, and immersed themselves in special artistic performances.
