The ceremony also saw the presence of Politburo member and President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan, leaders of Hanoi city, Dan Phuong district and Song Phuong commune.
The Party chief congratulated the hamlet’s residents and spoke highly of the achievements Thap Thuong has gained in recent years.
The hamlet has devised several practical programmes and actions in responding to the ‘All people unite to build cultural lifestyle in residential areas’ campaign, he noted.
The achievements are the joint outcomes of the sound leadership of the Party, the Party committees of the city and the district, as well as the determination of local authorities and each family in the hamlet, he said.
Local residents have made a shift in cultivation, as only 2.5 hectares out of 22 hectares of its farming land is for rice transplanting, the remaining is for growing high-value vegetables such as tomato, papaya and several others.
The hamlet’s per capita income has reached over VND 29 million annually. The poverty rate among local households has been reduced to 1.7%.
Local authorities have given much attention to developing education, healthcare and culture as well as improving people’s living standards.
He called on local residents to exert further efforts to make their hometown more prosperous.
On the occasion, he presented gifts to outstanding individuals, families and collectives in the hamlet, who have contributed to boosting the ‘All people unite to build cultural lifestyle in residential areas’ campaign.
He also visited and offered incense at the Monument to Heroes and Martyrs in Dan Phuong district.
