The inauguration ceremony was attended by Politburo members: General To Lam, Minister of Public Security, and Dinh Tien Dung, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee.
The work was built by the Ministry of Public Security in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Hanoi municipal People's Committee, aiming to honour the hard work and dedication of the people's police force in ensuring political security, social order and safety.
The work shows the image of soldiers of the traffic police and fire prevention, firefighting and rescue police forces, which is a symbol of courage and sacrifice to overcome difficulties and hardships in the fight against "fire enemies", and protecting people's property.
Speaking at the ceremony, Lieutenant General Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Deputy Minister of Public Security stated that the construction of the monument not only honours and pays tribute to the generations of police officers, soldiers of the People's Police force in particular, and the People's Public Security force in general, but that this is also a cultural work with political, historical and traditional educational significance, contributing to raising awareness to always obey traffic safety, be vigilant, and raise the spirit of fire prevention and firefighting for the people.
