Politburo member Nguyen Trong Nghia works with Army Corps 34

A delegation from the Party Central Committee led by Politburo member Nguyen Trong Nghia, who is also Secretary of the PCC, and Head of the PCC’s Commission for Communications, Education and Mass Mobilisation, visited and held a working session with Army Corps 34 on August 10.

Speaking at the meeting, Lieutenant General Dao Tuan Anh, Commander of Army Corps 34, said that in the first six months of 2025, the Party Committee and the Corps Command had maintained solidarity; overcome difficulties;swiftly stabilised their organisational structure; strictly upheld military discipline, legal compliance, regulations and regimes; remained in a high state of combat readiness; and strived to successfully fulfil all assigned tasks.

In his directive speech, Politburo member Nguyen Trong Nghia congratulated the Party committee, command, officers, and soldiers of the corps on their outstanding achievements.

He urged the Army Corps 34 Command to implement synchronised measures, with a focus on enhancing research, forecasting, and advisory capabilities for the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defence; as well as building, adjusting, supplementing, and completing operational plans and systems of combat readiness documents in line with the corps’ organisational structure.

The unit should thoroughly grasp and strictly implement training orders, improve the quality of training, exercises, combat readiness, disaster prevention, and search and rescue operations. It should work towards building a “compact, strong, elite” corps with comprehensive strength and high combat readiness; closely coordinate with local Party committees, authorities, and people of all ethnic groups in the area to actively contribute to economic, cultural, and social development; excel in mass mobilisation work; strengthen the local political base; and build a firm all-people national defence posture in close connection with a strong people’s security posture.
