President Ho Chi Minh’s Statue inaugurated at Academy of Politics Regional IV

The Academy of Politics Regional IV (under the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics) based in Can Tho City held an inauguration ceremony for a statue of President Ho Chi Minh on March 17.

The event saw the presence of Professor, Doctor Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, and Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council.

The statue, designed by sculptor Duong Nguyen Phuoc, is modelled after the monument at the headquarters of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics in Hanoi.

After more than a year of construction, the work has been completed, with a height of 4m, made of granite, and placed in a prominent location within the campus of the Academy of Politics Regional IV.

In his speech at the ceremony, Professor, Doctor Nguyen Xuan Thang praised the Academy of Politics Regional IV for proactively implementing and completing this significant project. He emphasised that the inauguration of Uncle Ho’s statue, coinciding with the 135th anniversary of his birth, further enhances the historical, cultural, and educational value of the monument.
