Prime Minister decides to supply rice to flood-hit regions

The provinces from Quang Binh to Ha Tinh will receive 1,000 tonnes of rice each.

The Prime Minister also decided to dispatch Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue to visit the flood-hit regions to inquire after the people and direct relief efforts on his behalf.

Earlier on September 5, the government leader sent a public a letter sharing the difficulties being faced by the people, soldiers and relief forces in the provinces devastated by rains and floods.

He also asked the local authorities to ensure that the people in inundated regions are not isolated or lacking in food and medicine, and to clean up the environment, repair infrastructure and restore production after the floodwater recedes.
