On October 14, 2020, Lang Bang Communal House was recognised as a historical relic, included in the list of historical - cultural relics and scenic spots of Quang Ninh Province according to Decision No.3929/QD-UBND.
However, over time, the relic has been degraded and damaged due to the impact of weather, environment and lack of conservation funds.
Recognising the importance of the historical significance and cultural value of the Lang Bang Communal House, Ha Long City has directed departments and offices to research and develop a project plan for restoration, embellishment and rehabilitation to synchronise the infrastructure and landscape of the area and especially to preserve and promote the value of the relic, meeting the religious needs of the people and tourists. At the same time, it aims to form and develop a new tourism product for the city.
According to the plan, the area of the project area is 3,065 square metres. The project will restore Dai Dinh (on the old communal house foundation) according to the architecture of the traditional Northern communal house and have other auxiliary items arranged in suitable locations in the overall relic area.
Upon completion, the project will contribute to improving the spiritual and material life of local people, realising the goal of building Ha Long as a heritage city, a city of flowers and festivals.
