Joining the festive atmosphere of the Lunar New Year 2026, the Czech Republic’s Ministry of the Interior, the Prague–Libus District Authority and Saparia Joint Stock Company jointly organised the “Vietnamese Tet and Czech Masopust” Festival at the SaPa Trade Centre in Prague on the evening of February 7.

Among those attending the event were Czech Senator Jana Mrackova Vildumetzova; Duong Hoai Nam, Vietnamese Ambassador to the Czech Republic; Hoang Dinh Thang, President of the Union of Vietnamese Associations in Europe; representatives of Prague’s local authorities; members of the leadership of the Union of Vietnamese Associations in Europe; and a large number of overseas Vietnamese in the Czech Republic.

The “Vietnamese Tet and Czech Masopust” Festival aims not only to strengthen cultural exchanges between the Vietnamese and Czech peoples, but also to provide an opportunity for the Vietnamese community and local residents to gain deeper insights into the distinctive features of each country’s traditional culture, thereby fostering community cohesion and spreading love for the homeland.
