The Korean Cultural Centre in Viet Nam announced on July 9 that it will join hands with the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) and the Seoul Newspaper to organise K-pop Lovers Festival 2026 — a festival for K-pop fans — on July 11-12 at the Tran Nhan Tong Pedestrian Street in Ha Noi, Viet Nam. Admission is free.

The festival is the most eagerly anticipated annual event for the K-pop fan community in Viet Nam, providing a platform for fans to express their love for K-pop while showcasing their own distinctive Vietnamese identity. Guest performers include Korean choreographer and dancer Koo Young Back (July 11), along with well-known V-pop singers Erik and Maiquinn (July 12).

At 7:00 pm on July 11 (Saturday), the 12 most talented dance groups from Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City will take to the stage to showcase their passion for K-pop through impressive K-pop dance cover performances, together with a special performance by choreographer and dancer Koo Young Back from 1Million Dance Studio.

At 7:00 pm on July 12 (Sunday), the 13 outstanding finalists will have the opportunity to demonstrate their powerful vocal abilities by performing K-pop songs on the main stage alongside renowned Vietnamese singers Erik and Maiquinn, who are expected to make the festival atmosphere more exciting than ever.

Both days of the festival will also feature a wide range of attractions, including a K-pop experience space spanning Generations 1 to 5; K-pop-themed photo booths for memorable snapshots; experiences promoting tourism to the Republic of Korea; Korean-style claw machine games; activities introducing Korean copyright; and traditional Korean folk games, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

In addition, a K-pop Random Dance session will take place from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm, giving young Vietnamese participants the chance to not only enjoy familiar, upbeat K-pop hits but also showcase their dance skills, passion, and enthusiasm for K-pop.

According to the programme, a dance workshop with choreographer and dancer Koo Young Back will be held from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm on July 11.

The most outstanding Vietnamese representative at the K-pop Cover Dance Festival World Final 2026 will have the opportunity to participate in the global K-pop dance festival organised by the Seoul Newspaper in Seoul this October.

This marks the fourth consecutive year that the Korean Cultural Centre has supported young Vietnamese K-pop enthusiasts in performing on major stages in the Republic of Korea.

In addition, the Korea Creative Content Agency will continue supporting talented young Vietnamese through training and development programmes, helping them gradually realise their dreams of becoming K-pop artists or idols in the future.

"I hope this year's festival will serve as a platform connecting young Vietnamese K-pop fans with K-pop fans around the world, while also becoming a cultural exchange venue where people from both countries can enjoy K-pop and V-pop together," said Park Chan A, Director of the Korean Cultural Centre in Viet Nam.
