Vibrant Viet Nam Cultural Festival in Poland

Together with the cultural exchange and people-to-people exchange activities organised in Poland, the Viet Nam Cultural Festival in the city of Wroclaw provides an important and practical means of promoting the friendship and bilateral cooperation between Viet Nam and Poland in the fields of economy, trade, investment, and tourism.

Under the honorary patronage of the Ambassador of Viet Nam to Poland and the Mayor of Wroclaw City (Poland), and with the coordination and sponsorship of the Wroclaw City authorities and Vietnamese associations in Poland, especially in Wroclaw, the Viet Nam Cultural Festival, held in the historic centre of Wroclaw, concluded successfully, leaving a deep impression on local residents and international visitors.

The festival took place in a lively and colourful festive atmosphere, showcasing the distinctive traditional culture, arts and cuisine of Viet Nam.

Attending the festival were Ambassador of Viet Nam to Poland Ha Hoang Hai, Deputy Mayor of Wroclaw Jakub Mazur, Polish Deputy Minister of Economic Development Michał Jaros, and Chairman of the Poland–Viet Nam Parliamentary Friendship Group Grzegorz Napieralski, along with representatives of the Wroclaw City authorities and Vietnamese associations in Poland.

In his opening remarks, Ambassador of Viet Nam to Poland Ha Hoang Hai expressed his gratitude to the mayor and the authorities of Wroclaw for their patronage and coordination in organising the festival. He also thanked Vietnamese associations, organisations, and individuals for sponsorship, support, and help in organising this highly meaningful event.

Ambassador Ha Hoang Hai emphasised that Viet Nam and Poland have enjoyed more than 75 years of traditional friendship and are now important partners of one another. More than 30,000 Vietnamese people are currently living, studying, and working in Poland, serving as a bridge that strengthens and nurtures the friendship between the two nations.

According to Ambassador Ha Hoang Hai, the Viet Nam Cultural Festival in Wroclaw, together with other cultural and people-to-people exchange activities and events, represents one of the important and practical ways of promoting friendship and bilateral cooperation in such fields as the economy, trade, investment, and tourism.

On behalf of the Wroclaw City authorities, Deputy Mayor Jakub Mazur expressed his appreciation to the Embassy of Viet Nam, the Vietnamese community in Poland and the city of Wroclaw for their close cooperation in organising the festival.

According to Jakub Mazur, the event offered residents of Wroclaw and international visitors the opportunity to enjoy the distinctive cultural values of Viet Nam while enriching the cultural life of the local community. It also helped promote Wroclaw as a multicultural city in Poland and Europe.

Held on a grand scale in the open space of Wroclaw's historic city centre, the Viet Nam Cultural Festival attracted tens of thousands of Polish and international visitors who came to explore, discover, and experience the unique features of Vietnamese culture.

The event featured a wide range of distinctive cultural and artistic performances, including lion dances, quan ho folk singing, chau van ritual singing, traditional musical instrument performances, calligraphy, and ao dai fashion shows, together with exhibition areas displaying paintings, publications, souvenirs, and traditional handicrafts. Notably, the traditional Vietnamese cuisine promotion area, comprising 20 food stalls offering many special Vietnamese dishes.

The event received extensive coverage from numerous Polish media outlets and social media platforms in Wroclaw, contributing to the promotion and wider dissemination of the image of the country, people, culture, and tourism of Viet Nam, as well as highlighting the successful integration of the Vietnamese community in the host country.
