Promoting development of the private economy within the Viet Nam Young Entrepreneurs Association at all levels

As part of the 8th Conference of the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Young Entrepreneurs Association, 7th tenure, held in Quang Ninh Province on May 21, delegates reached consensus to elect 3 members to the Association’s Presidium, and to consolidate and add 8 members to the Central Committee of the Association, 7th tenure.

The conference reviewed the activities of the Viet Nam Young Entrepreneurs Association in 2024 and agreed on the plan and key activities for 2025; it also discussed and sought the opinions of the Central Committee of the Association on matters related to the organisation of the 8th Congress of the Viet Nam Young Entrepreneurs Association.

Nguyen Tuong Lam, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, President of the Viet Nam Youth Federation delivered remarks at the conference.

Specifically, in 2024, the association at all levels implemented many programmes and activities in support of the young business community nationwide. Provincial and municipal associations, along with affiliated clubs, carried out 351 policy dialogue activities, 978 networking and linkage activities, 487 training sessions, workshops, and seminars, along with 163 international cooperation activities, 368 trade promotion events, 397 cultural and sports activities, and 475 social and charitable activities, with a total budget of 103 billion VND.

In his opening speech at the conference, Dang Hong Anh, President of the Viet Nam Young Entrepreneurs Association, suggested that in the context of numerous socio-economic challenges and new requirements, the Viet Nam Young Entrepreneurs Association must continue to uphold its role as a common home for young entrepreneurs across the country. The association's activities should undergo strong renewal in terms of organisation and operational methods, enhancing its capacity for integration; it should play a leading role in building a startup and innovation ecosystem, contributing to the sustainable development of the national economy.

According to documents at the conference, the association’s key activity plan for 2025 includes the following main points: launching and implementing an action programme to promote private economic development within the Viet Nam Young Entrepreneurs Association system; organising the Viet Nam Private Economic Forum and the Red Star Award – Outstanding Young Entrepreneurs of Viet Nam 2025; launching the selection and awarding programme for Outstanding Young Start-up Entrepreneurs 2025; participating in the ASEANEXT programme and the ASEAN Conference in Singapore; signing cooperation agreements with major partners; and most importantly, organising the 8th National Congress of the Viet Nam Young Entrepreneurs Association.

In his speech at the conference, comrade Nguyen Tuong Lam emphasised that the Congress documents should be updated to reflect changes and closely adhere to the spirit of key resolutions of the Politburo, as all of them are relevant to businesses and entrepreneurs in general, and young entrepreneurs in particular.

On the occasion, the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Young Entrepreneurs Association awarded certificates of merit to 34 outstanding units for their association work in 2025 and presented emulation flags for association work in 2025 to 31 units.
