The Seoul Spring Festival is one of the largest annual international cultural exchange events held in Seoul, the RoK. The festival attracts the participation of most foreign diplomatic missions in the RoK, along with numerous international cultural organisations. It serves not only as an opportunity for countries to promote their national image and cultural identity but also as a meaningful platform for people-to-people exchanges, contributing to greater understanding, friendship, and cooperation among nations and peoples.
At this year’s festival, the Embassy of Viet Nam in the RoK offered delegates and visitors an engaging experience of Viet Nam’s landscape, culture, and people through displays featuring scenic landmarks, cultural heritage, socio-economic development achievements, tourism products, and traditional handicrafts. In addition, a variety of lively cultural exchange and experiential activities were organised, introducing visitors to Viet Nam’s renowned tourist destinations.
In particular, the Vietnamese food section left a strong impression on visitors with traditional delicacies such as bun cha (grilled pork with vermicelli noodles), banh mi (Vietnamese bread), and Vietnamese coffee. Many visitors in the RoK expressed their enthusiasm for Vietnamese cuisine and their desire to visit Viet Nam in the near future.
According to Vietnamese Ambassador to the RoK Vu Ho, Viet Nam’s participation in the Seoul Spring Festival 2026 provided a meaningful opportunity to strengthen people-to-people exchanges and promote the image of Viet Nam, its people, and culture to international friends.
“The Viet Nam booth is not only a venue for promoting culture, tourism, and cuisine but also a channel for spreading the positive values of Viet Nam and its people, while helping to reinforce the social foundation and bonds of friendship underpinning the increasingly deep, substantive, and comprehensive strategic partnership between Viet Nam and the RoK,” Ambassador Vu Ho stressed.
The presence of the Viet Nam booth at the festival once again demonstrated the active role of the Vietnamese community in the RoK in preserving and promoting national cultural identity, while also contributing to stronger mutual understanding, friendship, and ties between the peoples of Viet Nam and the RoK.
