The event was attended by members of the Party Central Committee: Hau A Lenh, Minister and Chairman of the Committee for Ethnic Minorities Affairs; Bui Thi Quynh Van, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Quang Ngai Province; and Dinh Thi Phuong Lan, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assemby (NA)'s Council for Ethnic Affairs; along with leaders of departments, branches, localities and some provinces, cities and domestic enterprises.
At the conference, the Quang Ngai introduced potentials, advantages, mechanisms, and support policies in order to promote opportunities to investors who are interested in and wishing to invest, develop production and business in ethnic minority and mountainous areas of the province.
To promote the development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas, Quang Ngai has identified and set the goal of agricultural development in mountainous districts towards high quality, prioritising the development of organic agriculture, associated with the value chain, connecting processing with the market, gradually shifting from simple agricultural production to agricultural economic models, promoting socio-economic development, reducing poverty in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.
At the same time, the province also has many policies to accompany, create all favourable conditions, provide convenient public services, and a favourable business investment environment for investors when coming to invest and develop the ethnic minorities, mountainous areas of the province.
At the conference, the delegates also exchanged on the clarification of investment mechanisms and policies in mountainous districts and the potential introduction of agro-forestry projects being surveyed and tested for investment in Quang Ngai.
Speaking at the conference, Minister Hau A Lenh highly appreciated Quang Ngai Province for concretising the guidelines of the Party and State on investment policies for ethnic minority areas and mountainous areas.
To attract investment in the development of mountainous localities, Minister Hau A Lenh suggested that Quang Ngai should select, research, attract investment, and develop and create unique products with unique characteristics, including sustainability, thus promoting regional linkages to bring the advantages of localities into full play.
Also at the conference, the signing ceremony was held for a memorandum of understanding on investment cooperation between companies and enterprises and the localities of Ba To, Son Tay, Son Ha and Minh Long districts of Quang Ngai Province.
