Quang Ngai invests in infrastructure systems to create momentum for development

In the 2025-2030 term, removing bottlenecks and creating breakthroughs in infrastructure development is a goal being strongly promoted by many Party committees and Party organisations, in order to address the “bottlenecks” identified in the Documents of the 14th National Party Congress.

The Hoa Phat Dung Quat iron and steel production complex plays a pivotal role in the economic growth of Quang Ngai province.
The Hoa Phat Dung Quat iron and steel production complex plays a pivotal role in the economic growth of Quang Ngai province.

That is the fact that the infrastructure system remains insufficiently synchronised and modern; the level of inter-regional connectivity is not high; and logistics costs remain high compared with the region and the international level.

Investment in infrastructure is an important task, contributing both to changing the local landscape and opening up development opportunities. Analysing the causes leading to economic growth in the 2020 - 2025 period not meeting the set targets, the Executive Committee of the Party Organisation of Quang Ngai province assessed that the province’s infrastructure remains weak and unsynchronised, which is one of the major factors affecting the results of implementing political tasks.

Grasping the Resolution of the 14th Congress and the local practical situation, the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee is oriented towards promoting industrialisation and modernisation, in which the development of synchronised and modern infrastructure is one of the key solutions.

The Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee and the People’s Committee of Quang Ngai province have mobilised significant resources to achieve the goal of turning Dung Quat Economic Zone into a dynamic, multi-sector, multi-field marine economic centre of national scale; taking coastal urban landscapes and a developed infrastructure foundation as an attraction, aiming towards prosperity.

In 2026, Quang Ngai is promoting the mobilisation of investment to complete infrastructure in industrial parks and industrial clusters, especially transport connectivity systems and waste treatment systems. The province continues to accelerate the implementation of sections under the coastal road project, notably the Dung Quat–Sa Huynh project, aiming to form an important coastal transport axis, promote development in the eastern area, open up new development space, and at the same time contribute to strengthening national defence and security in the locality.

The Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee is actively directing Party committees and authorities at all levels to develop plans for allocating investment resources in a balanced, fair and reasonable manner among localities and regions, ensuring that no area is left behind or loses development momentum.

The Provincial Party Committee requires a focus on investing in essential infrastructure in remote and mountainous communes and areas inhabited by ethnic minorities; improving the material and spiritual life of farmers and rural residents; and narrowing the development gap between rural and urban areas and among regions within the province.

In Son Ha commune, from the very beginning of the term, the Standing Board of the Commune Party Committee promptly issued a Resolution prioritising the development of technical and social infrastructure, especially in the central area, with many specific objectives and solutions. The Resolution provides a basis for Son Ha commune to develop synchronised technical and social infrastructure associated with the development of trade and services in line with local potential.

Making use of advantages in having many valuable livestock and plant varieties such as kien chicken, nien fish, and che dung leaves, the Standing Board of the Commune Party Committee directed a rational restructuring of agricultural economic development, towards planning concentrated commodity production zones.

To ensure essential infrastructure serving the production and consumption of agricultural goods, the People’s Committee of Son Ha commune mobilised resources to upgrade the Di Lang hydropower reservoir; reinforced grade-III irrigation canals to over 70%; and gradually completed the transport network connecting with neighbouring communes.

Emphasising the effective use of resources for the synchronised development of infrastructure, the Standing Board of the Commune Party Committee requires the political system in the commune to link emulation and commendation work with the strict handling of acts contrary to policies and tasks.

During the implementation of the Resolution on infrastructure development, the Standing Board of the Son Ha Commune Party Committee has regularly learned from and absorbed experiences and good practices from communes and wards across Quang Ngai province in order to apply them creatively in line with the actual situation.

With the determination of Party committees and authorities, and the consensus and joint efforts of the people, projects and works are being urgently completed and soon put into operation, meeting the requirements for rapid and sustainable development set out by the Resolution of the 14th Congress.
