An exhibition titled The Communist Party of Viet Nam – From Congress to Congress, jointly organised by the Office of the Party Central Committee and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, is a practical activity celebrating the 14th National Congress. It also provides an opportunity for the public to visit, learn about, and appreciate the great achievements recorded through the Party’s successive National Congresses.

Respecting the Value of Strategic Decisions

Featuring numerous documents, images and artefacts unveiled for the first time, the exhibition vividly and authentically recreates the Party Congresses and the great victories and achievements attained under the Party’s leadership in each term.

Immediately after its opening, the exhibition welcomed many delegations from across the country who came to visit and learn about the glorious history of the 13 Party congresses. Tran Thi Huong Giang, from Sam Son Ward, Thanh Hoa Province, took advantage of the weekend to visit the exhibition. The arrangement of documents and artefacts is very scientific, guiding visitors through each theme and making it easy to access information about events at each congress. She deeply felt that the Party’s strategic decisions were issued to meet the requirements of the revolution in different historical contexts, yet all crystallised the collective intellect and firm political resolve of the entire Party, people, and armed forces into the strength to overcome historical challenges.

At the exhibition area themed around the 7th National Congress, after listening to the guide introduce the information and context of the Platform for National Construction in the Transitional Period to Socialism (the 1991 Platform), Giang shared that the 1991 Platform defined the fundamental orientation for the transitional period to socialism in Viet Nam. Under the country’s conditions in the 1990s, the 1991 Platform emphasised the most important task of fundamentally transforming the underdeveloped socio-economic situation.

According to Chu Manh Hung from Dong Da Ward, Ha Noi, through accessing the documents and artefacts displayed at the exhibition, he gained a clearer understanding of the creativity of Party committees and authorities at all levels in grasping and applying the Central Committee’s guidelines and concretising them into local development outcomes.

Citing his own place of residence, Hung shared that the Party Committee and the People’s Committee of Dong Da Ward, Ha Noi, had translated the decisions of the 13th National Congress into socio-economic development targets for the area. In practice, he clearly felt changes in many fields, notably investment in education development, with 16 public schools now equipped with modern facilities meeting the requirements of educational renewal in the ward.

Visiting the exhibition area of the 13th National Congress, Nguyen Thi Hop from Tay Mo Ward, Ha Noi, said that the images and documents on display helped her perceive that the Party’s recent policies on healthcare for the people truly embody profound humanitarian values.

In Tay Mo Ward, experience gained in preventing and combating the Covid-19 pandemic continues to be promoted by the ward health centre, together with the implementation of the Politburo’s Resolution No. 72-NQ/TW (dated September 9, 2025) on breakthrough solutions to strengthen the protection, care, and improvement of people’s health. These are clear demonstrations of the viewpoint that the people are the subject, the centre and the driving force of all Party decisions.

Awakening responsibility for national development

In recent times, major commemorative activities of the Party and the state have received enthusiastic response from a large number of young people, showing that the younger generation is not indifferent to history but requires appropriate methods of conveying content to connect the past, present, and future. In line with this trend, in addition to providing new documents and artefacts, the exhibition The Communist Party of Viet Nam – From Congress to Congress has also deployed information lookup technology and electronic guestbooks to offer new experiences for young visitors.

After the visit, Vu Truc Binh Duong, a student at the International Academy (Ministry of Public Security), shared her impressions: Through milestones demonstrating the Party’s leadership role in the cultural field, particularly Resolution No. 03-NQ/TW of the 5th Plenum of the 8th Central Committee (dated July 16, 1998) on building and developing an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identity, it is evident that the Party has grasped global development trends and set forth many important orientations. Effectively leveraging the internet to introduce the renovation process and Vietnamese culture to the world has contributed to promoting and enhancing Viet Nam’s image and standing among international friends.

According to Nguyen Thanh Huy from Xuan Huong–Da Lat Ward, Lam Dong Province, visiting the exhibition provided him with vivid knowledge to better understand classroom lessons, thereby helping him more clearly recognise the responsibility of young people in building and defending the country.

Sharing with us, he said that in Xuan Huong–Da Lat Ward, when implementing the two-tier local government model, some residents were initially concerned about the major change. However, with clear communication and explanation, together with the locality’s strong push for digital transformation and the application of science and technology, public consensus has become very high. After a period of operating the new model, the Xuan Huong–Da Lat Party Committee and ward authorities achieved positive results across all fields. Notably, there are no poor or near-poor households in the area, and more than 3,700 jobs have been created.

Ahead of the 14th National Congress, the exhibition has created a historical, cultural and revolutionary space, fostering an atmosphere of excitement and confidence, looking towards the success of the congress with strong trust and expectations in the new era of the nation.
