At the conference, leaders of the General Staff of the Viet Nam People’s Army presented a report and proposals for the Standing Committee’s consideration regarding the restructuring of military enterprises for the 2026–2030 period.

Participants reached consensus on continuing to restructure state capital in enterprises with similar functions and tasks, combined with investment to enhance capacity in order to meet the requirements of military, defence, and national economic development in the new context. He also directed the General Staff of the Viet Nam People’s Army to study and adjust the organisation and staffing of agencies and units to ensure a lean and efficient apparatus, and to gradually achieve full technological autonomy to meet mission requirements in the new situation.

At the conference, the Standing Committee also reviewed and proposed the conferment and posthumous conferment of the title “Hero of the People’s Armed Forces” for the resistance period, as well as the conferment of the titles “Hero of the People’s Armed Forces” and “Hero of Labour in the Renewal Period” for collectives and individuals. On this occasion, General Phan Van Giang presented the Government’s Emulation Flag to the General Staff of the Viet Nam People’s Army and the General Department of Politics of the Viet Nam People’s Army in recognition of their outstanding and comprehensive achievements in 2025, leading the Armed Forces’ Determination to Win Emulation Movement, and contributing to the cause of building the military, strengthening national defence, and safeguarding the Fatherland.
