Winners of Golden Globe Awards 2021 honoured

Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) Central Committee and the Ministry of Science and Technology honoured the 10 winners of the Golden Globe Awards 2021 along with 20 outstanding female students in the field of Science and Technology in 2021 at a ceremony held in Hanoi on December 19.

This year's award prioritized searching for industries on the list of priority science and technology fields of the country until 2030 in order to contribute to orienting and encouraging the young generation to research, apply and start-up according to the country's development strategy, actively transforming digitally amd actively participating in the Fourth Industrial Revolution according to the policy of the Party and Government.

After nearly three months of launching, there have been 66 nominations submitted by 27 agencies, units, organisations and businesses across the country and Vietnamese embassies, Youth Associations and overseas Vietnamese students, submitted for the 2021 Awards.

Alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Standing Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, Bui Quang Huy, who is also Chairman of the Vietnamese Students' Association, said that the number of nominations has increased compared to previous years, especially from candidates who are studying or working abroad and the many prestigious training and research institutions in the Republic of Korea, Australia, France, Japan and Belgium.

Also in the awarding ceremony, the organising board awarded the outstanding Female Student Award to 20 female students in the field of Science and Technology, who are third-year female students with excellent academic and research achievements in information technology, electricity, electronics, and mechanics.
