The two-day programme aims to introduce sugar apples, One Commune One Product (OCOP) goods, and the strengths of Thai Nguyen, in addition to connecting enterprises and consumers.
Director of the Thai Nguyen Department of Industry and Trade Nguyen Ba Chinh said that Thai Nguyen has favourable natural conditions for agricultural and forestry development, with many products of high economic value. The programme is expected to support farmers in boosting production and exploiting local advantages, contributing to building a sustainable agricultural economy.
One of the high-quality agricultural products of Thai Nguyen province is Vo Nhai sugar apple, with an area of more than 500ha and an output of 5,000 tonnes per year. After the consumption promotion programme, the Vo Nhai sugar apple is expected to be consumed more in supermarkets and commercial centres, both inside and outside the province.
Many other famous agricultural products are also showcased throughout the programme, such as Thai Nguyen tea, Dinh Hoa rice, Uc Ky soy sauce, and others.
