“The Brilliant Darkness” wins Best Feature Film at Golden Kite Awards 2020

“Dem Toi Ruc Ro” (The Brilliant Darkness) by director Aaron Toronto, was honoured as the Best Feature Film at Golden Kite Awards 2021, which were held in Nha Trang on September 13.

The film has achieved great success at the Golden Kite Awards 2021, claiming the Best Screenplay Award for Ly Nguyen Nha Uyen. The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam, Secretary of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Hai Ninh, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Doan Van Viet, and Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tan Tuan, along with representatives of agencies, departments, industries and localities, and many artists and movie fans from Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province.

The Vietnam Television Film Centre (VFC) continued to win big this year with its production of “Thuong Ngay Nang Ve” - a film remake of the film “Mother of Mine” – as well as “11 Thang 5 Ngay” (11 Months and 5 Days) in the category for TV Drama Series.

Assoc., PhD Do Lenh Hung Tu, as the chairman of the Vietnam Cinema Association, said that this year's Golden Kite Awards brings together 417 entries in the categories of feature films, TV Drama series, scientific films, documentaries, animations and short films.

The awards honoured the Best Director, Best Cinematographer, Best Actor and Actress in Leading Role, Best Actor and Actress in Supporting Role, and Best Screenplay, among others, as well as outstanding works.
