Prominent among the players included midfielder Le Pham Thanh Long from Dong A Thanh Hoa Club and Muong ethnic player Bui Van Duc from Hong Linh Ha Tinh Club.
Football fans also witnessed the return of players who were members of the U23 Vietnam squad, such as Truong Tien Anh, Lam Ti Phong, and Trieu Viet Hung.
Coach Troussier took the occasion to propose summoning three players who are playing abroad to join the team, who are Nguyen Quang Hai (playing for Pau Club, France), Nguyen Van Toan (Seoul E-Land Club, the Republic of Korea), and Nguyen Cong Phuong (Yokohama Club, Japan).
As scheduled, the team will gather for training on June 7.
During the training session, Vietnam will play two friendly matches against Hong Kong (China) on June 15, at Lach Tray Stadium in Hai Phong, and against Syria on June 20, at Thien Truong Stadium in Nam Dinh province.
