Speaking at the press conference, Dr Ha Phuc Mich, Chairman of the Viet Nam Organic Agriculture Association, said the Organic Asia Congress is an international event held alternately among countries to promote sustainable agricultural development, especially organic agriculture, since 2012.

This year’s congress, held for the first time in Viet Nam under the theme “Organic for a Better Future,” is expected to attract 550 delegates, including international guests from 33 countries and territories, comprising policymakers, experts, scientists, businesses, and agricultural development organisations.

The event holds special significance in promoting the image of Vietnamese culture, people, and agriculture to the world, fostering green investment and knowledge exchange in the process of transforming agriculture towards environmental sustainability.

In 2025, the 8th OAC has received support and direction from the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment for the Viet Nam Organic Agriculture Association to coordinate with the Ninh Binh Provincial People’s Committee in organising the event.

According to Nguyen Sinh Tien, Deputy Director of Ninh Binh’s Department of Agriculture and Environment, hosting the OAC in the historic land of Hoa Lu Ancient Capital is a great honour. Ninh Binh is proud to have been chosen as the venue for the first international event on organic agriculture in Viet Nam. This event is not only an important milestone in the province’s international integration process, but also an opportunity to learn, exchange, and jointly build a green, clean, and sustainable future.

The event is also an opportunity to introduce and promote Vietnamese organic agricultural products to international friends through an international trade fair. It will feature 250 booths displayed over seven days at the Ninh Binh Provincial Centre for Physical Training and Sports Complex.

This year’s congress will focus on discussions around policies, markets, and organic practices related to agriculture in general and organic agriculture in particular. Over the three-day conference, the contents will be discussed across three sessions.
