Nhan Dan – Top Vietnamese badminton player Nguyen Tien Minh took the silver medal at the 2012 Yonex Australian Open Grand Prix Gold that concluded in Sydney on April 8.

Tien Minh finishes second at Australian Badminton Open

The fourth seeded Tien Minh lost two straight sets (11/21, 12/21) yesterday to the Chinese top seed, Chen Jin, after 53 minutes of competition in the finals.

As the runner-up of the tournament, Tien Minh hopes to earn additional points to improve his place in the next Badminton World Federation (BWF) rankings.
