World no.13 Tien Minh gave an outstanding performance yesterday, quickly finishing the decisive match against his Taiwanese opponent in two straight sets (21-11, 21-17).
This is Tien Minh’s third title so far this year, following his men’s singles crowns at the Yonex - Sunrise Vietnam Grand Prix Open 2012 two months ago and the 2012 National Individual Badminton Championships last month.
As champion, Minh received a cash prize of US$15,000 and nearly 2000 extra points, which should help improve his position in future world rankings.
