Under the theme “Swing for Young Talents of Vietnam”, the tournament will welcome 144 golfers from both domestic and international backgrounds.
Competitors will play in a stroke play format, scoring NET points according to the Handicap System 36. Participants will be divided into five categories: A, B, C, D (women), and the Young Talent category. The championship title (Best Gross) will be awarded to the golfer with the lowest total score on the Par 72 course.
Speaking at the press conference, journalist Phung Cong Suong, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Tien Phong Newspaper, noted that since its inception in 2014, the tournament has become not only a prestigious sporting event but also a meaningful charitable initiative.
Each participating golfer contributes to the Vietnam Young Talent Support Fund, helping to nurture the dreams and aspirations of young people in their journey towards personal development, career advancement, and national contribution.
Nguyen Tan Anh, Deputy Director of the Ninh Binh Provincial Department of Culture and Sports, praised the tournament as a valuable opportunity to promote sports development, tourism, and the image of Ninh Binh Province.
During the press conference, the organizing committee and representatives from Kangaroo Group donated 10 Kangaroo water purifiers to teachers and students at Thuong Binh Kindergarten in Tuyen Quang Province and Mo Vang Secondary Boarding School in Lao Cai Province—both of which were severely affected by storms Bualoi and Matmo.
