The race attracted thousands of local people and tourists, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere in the first days of the new year.
The event featured 12 racing boats with more than 200 athletes from Quang Dien Commune and Binh Hoa Commune. The racing boats and athletes are all selected from the commune-level qualifying round, with careful preparation and training.
According to Hoang Minh Giam, Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Krong Ana District, the traditional men's boat racing tournament in Krong Ana District has been held on the occasion of the new year since 1994, at Sen Lake in Buon Trap Town. After 30 years, the boat racing tournament has become a traditional festival for ethnic people in the district.
The event not only provides an opportunity to promote the image of the land and people of Krong Ana but is also a useful playground, connecting the communities of ethnic groups in the district.
