Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan and philanthropists in Ho Chi Minh City presented 1,000 gifts to poor households and ten great unity houses worth a total of 1.5 billion VND in An Giang Province.

On the occasion, the Ho Chi Minh City Sponsoring Association for Poor Patients presented on-site drinking water filtration systems for 30 schools in the province.

In 2023, the “Fund for Poor” campaign committees at all levels in the province received money and donations worth a total of 317.048 billion VND.

The fund’s committee also mobilised over 86,000 gifts worth a total of nearly 42 billion VND to help local people celebrate the Tet Festival.

The An Giang Provincial Labour Confederation and Trade Unions at all levels mobilised nearly 100 billion VND to care for more than 115,000 trade union members and workers in the province.

On the same day, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan and the delegation visited the memorial site dedicated to Former President Ton Duc Thang in My Hoa Hung Commune, Long Xuyen City.
