[Video] Cross-border e-commerce – A new driver for Viet Nam’s exports

Viet Nam’s e-commerce sector reached more than 25 billion USD in 2024, up 20% from the previous year, ranking among the top three in Southeast Asia. Cross-border e-commerce is considered a strategic pillar, enabling businesses to expand markets and enhance national competitiveness.

The global cross-border market was valued at 791.5 billion USD in 2024 and is forecast to grow by over 30% in the coming years.

Vietnamese enterprises have already penetrated major markets such as the US, the EU, Japan and the Republic of Korea, while also expanding into ASEAN, the Middle East and Russia.

Experts stress that for Vietnamese firms to make breakthroughs, they must meet international standards, ensure transparent traceability, build their own brands and sell directly to global consumers.
