[Video] Nearly 6.3 million economic establishments create jobs for over 30 million workers

The National Statistics Office under the Ministry of Finance has released the results of the 2026 Economic Census, the largest ever conducted in Viet Nam and the first to use artificial intelligence (AI), digital mapping, and data collection covering online businesses.

The census recorded nearly 6.3 million active economic establishments, providing jobs for more than 30.3 million workers. These include over 870,000 enterprises and cooperatives and nearly 5.3 million individual businesses.

By the end of 2025, Viet Nam had more than 1.2 million enterprises, with the non-state sector accounting for over 827,000. However, state-owned enterprises continue to have larger capital scale and greater resource concentration than private and foreign-invested enterprises.
