[Video] Viet Nam sends over 53,100 workers abroad in five months

The Ministry of Home Affairs has reported that Viet Nam sent 53,159 workers abroad under labour contracts between January and May, achieving 47.5% of its annual target.

Japan remained the leading destination, welcoming 24,030 workers, including 10,750 women. Taiwan (China) followed with 21,104 workers, of whom 6,752 were women. Other destinations included the Republic of Korea with 3,217 workers, China with 1,498, Singapore with 704, Greece with 441, and Russia with 344.

In May alone, 11,948 Vietnamese workers departed under labour contracts. Taiwan (China) accounted for 5,764, while Japan received 4,608.
