The event is jointly organised by the Central New Rural Development Coordination Office and the Ha Noi New Rural Development Coordination Office under the Ha Noi Department of Agriculture and Environment, thereby affirming strong coordination and high determination on the part of both the central authorities and localities in developing the One Commune One Product (OCOP) Programme.

The Viet Nam OCOP Festival 2025 is a practical activity celebrating the achievements attained by the capital and the country in 2025, while also marking the celebration of the Party and welcoming the Spring of the Year of the Binh Ngo 2026. The programme aims to promote the values and achievements of OCOP after more than seven years of implementation, affirming its important role and contributing to the realisation of Viet Nam’s aspiration to rise strongly in the context of international integration.

The objective of the festival is to promptly commend and honour OCOP achievements associated with digital transformation and green transition, while providing orientations on approaches and development requirements for OCOP products in the coming period. At the same time, the event promotes and honours OCOP products and outstanding stakeholders, inspiring pride, diffusion, and Vietnamese cultural values while contributing to the promotion of start-ups and rural economic development.

In particular, through the theme “Unlocking Potential – Connecting Values – Sustainable Development”, the festival will intensify connections and exchanges in the production and trade of OCOP products among localities nationwide and internationally, promote value chain linkages, enhance the competitiveness of Vietnamese products, and create spaces for innovation, experience sharing, and encouragement of innovation in products and packaging.

To date, the OCOP Programme has demonstrated its strategic vision by transforming abundant resources and diligent, creative labour into sustainable competitive advantages. Nationwide, 18,243 OCOP products have been rated three stars or higher, establishing a quality standardisation system that has reinforced and affirmed Viet Nam’s National Brand.

The socio-economic impact of OCOP is highly evident: the programme has promoted a shift in production mindset from fragmented practices to value chain linkages; statistics show that 60.7% of OCOP stakeholders with products rated three stars or higher have recorded average revenue growth of 17.6% per year, creating a “multi-value” rural economic ecosystem. OCOP has also opened pathways for sustainable livelihoods, with 40% of stakeholders being women and 19.6% being ethnic minority people. Many products have reached global markets, being exported to more than 60 countries, thereby affirming the standing of Vietnamese agricultural products.

In addition, the Viet Nam OCOP Festival 2025 is also an occasion to honour the leading role of the capital city of Ha Noi, the flagship and the most successful locality in implementing this programme. With 3,463 products recognised as three stars or higher, Ha Noi continues to uphold its position as a centre of excellence and a strategic hub for connecting OCOP products to the world.
