The One Commune One Product (OCOP) programme has made a significant contribution to local economic development, enhancing the value of agricultural and craft village products, according to the Ha Noi Coordination Office of New-Style Rural Development Programme. Integrating cross-sectoral values will further increase the value of OCOP products, contributing to sustainable agricultural and rural development in the city.
The One Commune One Product (OCOP) programme has made a strong and positive impact on rural economic development. It has become a core policy with widespread influence, implemented in a comprehensive and nationwide manner. OCOP has been prioritised as a key solution in rural economic development, closely linked to the new-style rural development programme across all localities throughout the country.
A large-scale livestream campaign is set to kick off as part of a nationwide effort to harness digital platforms and media to enhance the value, market reach, and appeal of Vietnamese agricultural specialties.
Viet Nam is willing to share its resources, human capital, and sci-tech expertise with countries that have similar climatic and soil conditions, supporting them in developing OCOP products and advancing sustainable agriculture, stated Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha.
In recent years, the “One Commune One Product” (OCOP) programme has become a key driver of rural economic development in the former Hoa Binh Province, now part of Phu Tho Province. With abundant natural resources, the locality is offering a range of distinctive and impressive OCOP products that are helping to improve local incomes.
The promotion and introduction of OCOP products have been widely implemented by localities across the country. Accordingly, more than 674 centres/points for the display and sale of OCOP products have been established, linked to urban centres and tourist destinations in various localities. OCOP products have been and are being widely embraced by people throughout the country.
