During the 2025–2026 dry season, although the search work faced many difficulties due to changing terrain and increasingly scarce information about martyrs’ graves, with the active support of the Task Force, the armed forces, and people of Kep Province, Team K92 surveyed and excavated at 14 locations, collecting 12 remains of martyrs, bringing the total number of remains of fallen soldiers located and recovered in Kep Province from 2001 to the present to 91.

In addition to collaborating on professional tasks, the two localities also maintain many military and civilian diplomacy activities.

Officers and soldiers of Team K92 regularly cooperate in disseminating information and mobilising the people to provide information about the graves of fallen soldiers, organising free medical examinations and providing free medicine to 97 people, and visiting and giving nine gifts to agencies, units, and households in difficult circumstances in the area.

These practical activities have contributed to fortifying the bond between the task force and the government and people of Kep Province, creating a favourable foundation for continuing the search work in subsequent dry seasons.

At the ceremony, the Task Force of the two provinces signed a handover protocol for the remains of 12 Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died during wartime and were recovered in Cambodia during the 2025–2026 dry season.

Both sides agreed to continue maintaining a regular coordination mechanism, viewing this not only as a humanitarian mission but also as a bridge contributing to strengthening the traditional solidarity and friendship between Kep Province and An Giang Province, and fostering positive contributions to the good cooperation between Cambodia and Viet Nam.
