On behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Deputy Minister Eduardo Ramirez welcomed Ambassador Vo Tuan Ngoc, who had recently assumed his post, and expressed the Ministry’s high regard for the traditional friendship with Viet Nam, a trusted partner of Venezuela with which it enjoys comprehensive and effective cooperation.
Deputy Minister Eduardo Ramirez affirmed that the Venezuelan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the newly appointed deputy ministers would continue to work closely with the Ambassador and the Embassy to continuously consolidate and promote comprehensive cooperation with Viet Nam.
During the meeting, Deputy Minister Eduardo Ramirez once again expressed the Venezuelan Government and people’s appreciation, gratitude, and high regard for the noble gesture of the Vietnamese Government and people in promptly dispatching a disaster relief delegation and providing assistance to help Venezuela recover following the earthquake.
Expressing his honour at being appointed Vietnamese Ambassador to Venezuela, Ambassador Vo Tuan Ngoc thanked Deputy Minister Eduardo Ramirez for his attention and goodwill regarding cooperation with Viet Nam, the Embassy, and the Ambassador personally.
Ambassador Vo Tuan Ngoc strongly agreed with Deputy Minister Eduardo Ramirez’s positive assessment of the sound cooperation between Viet Nam and Venezuela, hoping to contribute to further consolidating and developing bilateral relations in a stronger and more substantive manner across all channels, particularly in economic, trade, and investment ties, which hold considerable potential, for the benefit of the peoples of both countries.
Ambassador Vo Tuan Ngoc and Deputy Minister Eduardo Ramirez exchanged views on measures to continuously consolidate and strengthen bilateral political and diplomatic relations; promote cooperation in priority areas; and prepare for and organise the fourth session of the Viet Nam–Venezuela Intergovernmental Committee.
The two sides also agreed to soon discuss and coordinate the organisation of friendship exchanges and comprehensive cooperation activities in 2027 to meaningfully commemorate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Viet Nam–Venezuela Comprehensive Partnership (2007–2027).
