VNA said it would add around 800 flights, equivalent to 136,000 seats, from January 26 to February 24 on major domestic and international routes, an increase of 18% over the previous Lunar New Year period.

In addition to 15 domestic routes, VNA will increase flights on seven international routes - Can Tho-Taipei, Can Tho-Kaohsiung and those between HCMC and Taipei, Kaohsiung, Hong Kong, Fukuoka and Osaka.

The carrier said passengers should arrange their itineraries thoroughly and consider seat availability to make an appropriate choice.

VNA also recommended using its online check-in services and check-in kiosks at Noi Bai, Tan Son Nhat and Da Nang airports to reduce check-in times.
