Under the deal, signed by Inspector General Huynh Phong Tranh and Chairman of Egypt’s Administrative Control Authority (ACA) Mohamed Gamal on April 18 in Cairo, the two sides will share professional information and documents as well as experience in detecting corruption.

In addition, they will increase the annual exchange of delegations and consult each other on the conduct of communication campaigns to raise people’s awareness and engagement in preventing corruption.

The MoU signing followed a working session between the Vietnamese Inspector General and the ACA Chairman.

The same day, Inspector General Tranh had a meeting with Egyptian Prime Minister Ibrahum Mahlab who praised collaboration between the Vietnam Government Inspectorate and the ACA. The PM said he hopes the two agencies will continue co-operating in a more comprehensive and regular manner, contributing to furthering ties.

The Egyptian Government leader also showed interest in enhancing bilateral comprehensive partnership as well as sharing experience in areas of training, technology, economic research and agriculture for mutual prosperity.

For his part, the Vietnamese Inspector General asked PM Mahlab to support the co-operation between Vietnam’s Government Inspectorate and the ACA.
